Jeff Atkinson has a Master of Science in Psychology from Old Dominion University, and has been a licensed therapist since 1997, with extensive experience in family preservation work. He and Cassandra Johnson-Landry were both trained to work with traumatized, attachment-resistant children through a training program sponsored by Children Unlimited of South Carolina and the Attachment Network of Georgia. Jeff and his partner are associated with the Attachment & Bonding Center of Atlanta, which focuses on the treatment of children with attachment issues.
